Executive-turned-entrepreneur helps mom-and-pop succeed

Welcomemat Services franchisee Chad Trollinger had a promising corporate marketing career that suddenly halted in 2013. He was laid off, and after months of searching for something new, he decided that becoming his own boss was the ideal option.

Trollinger moved forward with Welcomemat, a franchise system made up of small business owners nationwide. His location covers the Augusta metro area with a heavy focus on Columbia County, where Evans was ranked 16th on Welcomemat’s list of America’s Top 25 Best Neighborhoods for Small Businesses. Almost all of Trollinger’s customers are independently owned businesses, which makes the upcoming Small Business Saturday an important holiday for all involved.

What Trollinger values most about what he does is simply helping his local clients.
